Norman Montano and Carolyn Salazar fished with us for a couple of days in late December. Fishing in windy, cool conditions, brought on by the cold fronts that the US has been sending our way stayed focused and jumped 5 tarpon. Norman boated a nice 120 pounder. Carolyn got a Jack Crevelle. After leaving Rio Colorado they booked a trip though to the west coast of Costa Rica in Quepos for New Years Day and got a nice marlin and three sail fish and some tuna fishing on the Big Eye out of Quepos Marina one of our great after tarpon fishing add on options.

Long time 20 year repeat customers Bryan and Julia Saliba brought my fellow Lions Club buddy from Hattiesburg, MS., Charles Mcaffrey down for a backwater experience. We had lots of rain but the fish did not seem to notice. Julia caught a nice 12 pound snook and Bryan got a 4.5 pound big blue guapote. They also managed to catch a nice mess of mojarra and fat snook for a fine fish dinner here and a cooler of filets to take back to San Jose for Brian's famous neighborhood fish fry.

Once you're through picking up the debris and putting your lives back together, a trip for some fantastic fishing would really be a treat. Come go fishing with us, the weather is awesome, lots of sunshine, and flat ocean!!

What a small world. We had 2 separate bookings for guest from the UK, fishing the same days. Keith & Riva Elliott doing some fly fishing jumped one tarpon. Keith is the Editor for the Classic Angling Magazine in the UK. Hopefully at least he got some good shots, and stories to write about us since the weather continued to be poor, causing fishing to not be nearly as pleasant or successful. Max and Russell Brimelow, also from the UK fished the same 3 days, and were able to jump 3 tarpon. Unfortunately none of the tarpon jumped were brought to the boat for release. You've got to really set the hook hard to be successful in bringing a tarpon to the boat. Hopefully the weather has improved, and our next report will be full of big fish tales!! March is typically the beginning of really good tarpon fishing time.

We hope it won't take him so long. The weather just took a turn the last afternoon these guys were here, and we got lots of rain, and the temperature dropped. A bit unusual for this time of year.
